Toni Padden is from the UK and is a qualified Teacher with qualifications in Dyslexia teaching and assessment, Dyscalculia and a MSc in Psychology.
Prior to coming to Thailand Toni was a Teacher for young adults with varying needs, these venerable adults were isolated from the education system and required support both academically and emotionally to complete their studies and forge their lives in the community. It was an extremely rewarding career and taught her many skills in interpersonal communication and delivering training to students with a variety of learning differences.
She moved to Thailand in 2006 and has worked in a number of International Schools in Bangkok including The Village International School, Dyslexia Thailand and St Andrews International School.
Toni has particular expertise in Dyslexia, Dyscalculia and SEND.
She is passionate about equality for all children and inclusion in the school and wider community.
A lifelong learner, Toni is has recently been involved in studying the teaching of children with Dyscalculia. She wrote a dissertation on emotional intelligence and teaching of students with SEND and continues to teach young children with learning differences.
When not working Toni loves spending time with her family, travelling and studying
