The 5 Day Instructor (Train the Trainer) Programme at the Foundation Level is designed to equip educators with the skills needed to train others in trauma-informed positive behavior support. This intensive program prepares participants to deliver effective training on trauma-informed practices and restrictive physical interventions.

By becoming certified trainers, educators can extend the benefits of trauma-informed approaches throughout their schools and communities. This program is ideal for those looking to take a leadership role in promoting positive behavior support. This is our flagship programme. Delegates joining this programme will receive intensive training over 5 days. Upon successful completion they will be awarded instructor status. This will qualify them to cascade our 1 and 2 day theory and 1 and 2 day theory +physical restraint and breakaway courses across their whole school. Training will involve delegates delivering micro-teaching sessions including the theory and restrictive physical intervention techniques. They will be formally assessed on day 5 and will need to demonstrate competency in both the theory and physical elements before being signed off as qualified to cascade TIPBIS across their school.

This provides a high degree of flexibility to schools in delivering their behaviour support training. It is also very cost effective for larger schools or those supporting pupils with more complex needs.

Please note that the in house instructor is licensed to cascade training only to the contracting school. It is not transferable to any other school should they take up employment elsewhere.

Should an in house instructor leave the school within 12 months of qualifying we will train a replacement at the cost of a refresher (in effect a 50% discount).

Schools that invest in this programme will also receive continued support from Safe Schools and annual quality assurance visits from one of our Principal Instructors.
